Signal express can read which type of signal files

Hi all,

I have a signal recorded in a file.. Can i read the file in signal express apllication and write the data to the ports of IC6501? if yes how to do it...I am very new to this field can anyone tell in detail how this can be done..

I am not sure about writing data to ports of IC6501, but what is the file type, in which you have recorded the signal?
