code generate error

I created a task list in signalexpress it runs perfectly from the signalexpress window. I ran the 'code generate' tool and found that when the code generator is running it fails to find a file called dtcg_mxwGetDataFromName.vi.

Where is this file located?  I searched all the disks I have and cannot find this vi.

Too early in the morning - I did not answer your question.  The VI in question is an internal VI used by SignalExpress.  It is in an LLB, so a disk search will not find it.  If your application is looking for this VI, then you probably have something wrong with your installation.  There are many things that could possibly cause this, so please attach the project you used to generate this error so we can take a look.

The original poster never responded.  I suspect he had a corrupt installation and reinstalling fixed the issue.  I would recommend you try this, as well (you may want to uninstall first).  Make sure all NI software is closed before running your installers.  If this does not work, we can explore other options.  If you need more help, please include what version of SignalExpress you are using.
