Hasve just downloaded and installed SE 2011, can not create new projects. Project ot log voltage, new step brings up, allow selection of voltage but locks when at a/d channel screen.  Will not allow even AI0 to be selected, nor recognize cancel, locks up SE 2011.  Have had erratic results with start trigger recognition on existing projects.  External clock works ok.

PLease adivse is SE 2011 issue or possibly USB 6251 ?

Hi Chuck,

Do you have the latest version of the DAQmx drivers installed? I have included the link below.

Let me know if this helps.

Hi Josh,

What ever happened to the -1 to set the clip board to infinite memory?

I have downloaded and installed as above ( all 1.12g) so far see no difference. Should I reinstall SE to assure they are linked?

Please advise,

Chuck

Hi Josh,

I am running Vista and though I have downloaded the above, when I reinstall SE I can not find the file it needs to install the DAQ drivers.  Is there a specific file name I need?

Or do I need to link to the zipped downloads?

Thanks

Chuck

Hi Chuck,

If you reinstalled Signal Express you will need to reinstall the DAQ drivers. Our drivers need to be reinstalled after our software, such as LabVIEW or Signal Express, is reinstalled. If you can not find the files you will need to download them again from the link I previously sent you. Let me know if everything is working after you reinstall the drivers.

Well, The issue is when installing the 9.4 drivers ( I find the most recent version), SE stops and asks for the disc for NIDAQ.  I have not been able to get SE at that step to accept any link to 9.3 or 9.4 NIDAQ either installed or as a compressed file ( i.e. download).  But I have done as you suggest above but I am still having limitations on SE logging long files.  It seems if I set n sampes much above 5,000,000 samples it pauses for 5-6 seconds before reponding to the trigger pulse.  Makes it difficult to time when a limited acquisition will start.  Any ideas?

Chuck,

Have you considered breaking it up into several chunks? Then it won't be trying to do so much at once and take that extra time.

What are you trying to sample? Also, were you ever able to install the drivers correctly? If not, what was going on there?

I followed your instructions and install SE then the NIDAQ drivers but still had to ignore the step when SE asks for the NIDAQ disc.  I am simply trying to log one Ai signal with a stsart pulse and a external 512khz clock. The odd thing is using both a start pulse and a external clock ( start pulse comes ever 14 ms ) sometimes I get a continuous log up to 5,000,000 samples, other times it over writes the same log for every start pulse and appears to still pay attention to the total number of samples or to the logging time.  Seems to be linked to SE2011.  Are there others having similar problems.  Been doing this logging for a couple of years with no prior problems.

Thanks for your help,

Chuck
