Hello,
parts of my program menu are dissapeared.
If I want to add a new step (example: frequency analysis - power spectrum), I only see "aqcuire signals" and "generate signals" in my menu?
Where is my "signal analysis" menu? If I load an old project or an example which uses the spectrum - it's there. If I want to add a new one - the menu is reduced to the above described points...
I have SE 2009 - does anybody know how to fix this problem?

I found out that the limited edition is not able to analyze signals.
A few days ago I upgraded to SE 2009. During the first 30 days I can use the analyse functions.
Maybe this test time is now expired...
But... I activated my SE after the upgrade and the licence manager tells me that the full version is licenced correctly.

Hi pho_nox,
I have got some questions in order to be able to help you.
When did you install your Signal Express 2009 Version?
How did you activated your Signal Express 2009 Version? (Serial Number, Activation Code)
Did you activated it before or after the evaluation time expired?
Sincerely
GINNI

I installed Labview 2009 (incl. SE) a few months ago on a vista notebook. At this time I activated my Labview licence. Maybe I forgot to enter the serial number in the SE Input Box during the activation procedure...
I 'm normally working with Labview and everything was OK. A few days ago I tried to start Signal Express and it told me that the evaluation version was expired. So I took my serial number and went on with the activation procedure. No problems. Licence manager shows an activated full version.
I started my measurements and was able to store all the data in several protocols. I remember that the last time the evaluation version only allows one protocol... Because of that I thougt everything was OK - I was able to store multiple protocols.
After that I started to analyze my data and ... oops ... where is my filter? where is my spectrum menu?

Hi pho_nox,
try the following steps described in this Link: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/E7C93B4E39B949CF862572F4007D600E?OpenDocument
What version of LabVIEW did you purchase (Developer Suite, Full, Base ?). It will also be helpful to see a screenshot of your License Manager.
Sincerely

I tried the described steps - the activation was successful, but the problem still exists.
here's the screenshot from the license manager - labview full development system 2009 / SE 3.5 (I think it's the same as SE 2009)

Hi pho_nox,
that is really strange.
I have something else for us to try. Navigate to
C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Shared\License Manager\Licenses
Once there sort them by name so it's easier to find the Signal Express license files. Locate the license files called
SignalExpress_App_PKG_030500_TmpEthernet.lic
SignalExpress_Lite_PKG_030500.lic
and
change it's file extension to ".lica"....we just want to change the
name to anything so that it is not recognized as a license file. The
reasoning behind this is that it seems like your Signal Express is
reverting back to the Lite Edition and possibly using the Lite Edition
license files. By taking them away we will be forcing Signal Express to
use the Full Versions license files. So lets try this!
If this doesn´t help there is also the possibility to try to reinstall the whole program and activate it again.

hmmmm....
I found the licence files in the folder:
c:\users\all users\national instruments\license manager\licenses
SignalExpress_App_PKG_030500.lic
SignalExpress_Lite_PKG_030500.lic
I changed the .lic to .lica and SE told me that the evaluation period is expired and I have to register the full version.
I registered my complete labview again over the internet and I received a number of registration codes including SE 3.5.
If I now want to apply this number to SE the license dialog tells me, that the code does not match with one of my products...
hmmm......

Hi pho_nox,
sorry that this step did not help either.
try to renew the license files like told in this link:
LabVIEW SignalExpress 2009 - Windows/2000/Vista x64/Vista/XP - Evaluation License Files

My last idea would be to deinstall and reinstall the whole package. Really helpful for this would be the tool MSI Blast. Just look into this link:

Hi pho_nox,
I am wondering whether the reinstallation of the whole package solved the problem?
sincerely yours
