Hello all,
is it possible to implement "Adaptive Modulation and Coding" with 2 NI USRP devices?
A bit more detail:
I want to set up a lab station with 2 NI USRP devices.
One device sends the data (which should be a video) and the other one should receive this video.
Both devices are in the same room and send/receive the data via antennas.
I also want to add some noise (artificially) to the video at the sender side before it will be transmitted.
Now my specific question:
Is it possible to realize a backward (feedback) channel, so that the receiver can inform the sender about the quality of the received data?
Based on that feedback, the sender should then adjust the modulation type (and/or channel coding) so that it is easier to receive the data at the receiver side.
It would be very great if someone can help me because it is part of my master's thesis.
Kind regards,
Florian Schweitzer
Of course the feedback channel can be realized, the duplex USRP such as 2920 is ok. https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-22728 this demo may useful for you. Good luck and your project is interesting .
Hi LiliAn,
Thanks for your reply and refering to a good resource. I'm also searching it.

Thanks for your fast response.
Unfortunately, I don't have the hardware yet and can not test it by now.
But when the devices are here, I will probably post a few more questions 😉
