Test Engineer
This position will be responsible for coordinating, designing, specifying and summarizing standard and unique tests on valve train kinematics, dynamics and data reduction. Duties will include researching and planning tests, designing testing apparatus, equipment and control systems, and coordinate and establish test criteria depending on project needs. In addition, this position will be responsible for researching, standardizing and documenting dynamic valve train testing procedures, as well as writing post-processing code to reduce data from valve train dynamics tests. This position will operate in a team environment with laboratory technicians, internal and external customers, and will be responsible for providing technical direction to test lab staff.
Ideal requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- At least 6 years' experience in automotive engineering - valve train experience preferred
- Experience using LabView
- Background using CAD
- Strong communications skills, with the ability to communicate with co-workers and customers
- Ability to use basic shop tools
- Experience using instrumentation and data acquisition systems
