niswitch_32.dll cannot be found

Having installed Labview 6.1and NI-DAQ 7.3.1, (with NI SWITCH 2.3.1), in named order I cannot find the switch vis in Labview functions palette, and when opening existing vis with switch vis, they cannot compile because the switch dll above cannot be found. By searching ni web site, I find information it should be in the IVI\bin folder which do not exist. From compatibility charts I see that NI/DAQ 7.3.1 should support Labview  6.1. I am running on Windows XP on a PXI system.

Hi camojean

DAQ 7.3.1 is indeed compatible with LV 6.1, but looking at the read-me for SWITCH 2.3.1 it recommends a LV 7.1. The read-me is in the old style and is sadly not super clear if it supports 6.1 or not. Normally a driver, such as NI-SWITCH supports multiple LV versions, but you need to make sure you installed support for the version you are using when you install the driver. What you can do is to have a look under "<LabVIEW 6.1 folder>\examples\intr\niSwitch" and see if there is anything there. Otherwise my recommendation is to reinstall the drivers.

Best Regards
