It did not want to upgrade for me and I found out that the 17.5 was unavailable.

Anything I can do to fix it?

Yes, you need to upgrade NI Package Manager to 17.5 before you can install SystemLink 17.5.  I'm not sure why NI Package Manager isn't showing up on your Upgrades tab.  Please make sure you have the following feed and you may need to close and reopen NI Package Manager for the NIPM Upgrade to show up.

It looks like http://download.ni.com/support/nipkg/products/ni-package-manager/released/Packages.gz only refers to version 17.0.0. There's nothing about 17.5 inside.

As other have mentioned, I checked my feeds and the link you specified is already in the list.  I still do not see package manager in the upgrades list.

We have just made a change to the feed. Can anyone check to see if the upgrade is available now?

For the dashboard builder, we can grab tag data only. Are there any plans for the dashboard builder that would allow me to grab data about my connected systems, repo's, files, etc?

We will certainly expand the list of possible data sources over time.  What specific data sources would you prefer we add first and how would you intend to use them?

There are 2 dashboard ideas I came up with yesterday that would be very useful to me:

  1. I currently run automation software on 5 thermal chambers. This number is going up...probably quite a bit in the next 12 months. These chambers do long term tests (from hours to weeks) and sometimes go offline for maintenance or configuration mods. I would like to create a dashboard that shows all of my thermal chambers in a single view. Some of the data would be TAG data like the chamber temperature, DUT temperature, etc. Additionally, it would be great to show the hostname, the connection status, the lock status, and possibly other system information (but those 3 are the start) so that at a glance I can see which chambers are offline and which are locked for testing.
  2. Dashboard #2 would involve knowledge of all the installed / available SW products and feeds for all my nodes. The goal would be to aggregate some data on what's installed and what's ready to upgrade in a single glance. There are many times that I will make a change to code and ready it for deployment but not actually deploy it to all the affected systems at the same time. Take the thermal chambers as an example, if a test is going for a week I won't deploy a code change until that test is complete. I understand that with system locks SystemLink will queue up the new deployment and wait for the lock to be removed, but I may not want to operate that way. We also use a common SW framework across many test systems. One package may depend on another being installed, or may require a certain LabVIEW add-on be installed. We bring new systems online regularly and right now it's up to me to manually check that each one has all the necessary packages installed. Come to think of it, a matrix dashboard like I'm thinking might be a useful permanent addition to SystemLink.

So, a couple of ideas. I'm sure more will come.
