SystemLink License

Hello,

I would like to use SystemLink to distribute reuse packages and project specific packages between lab systems. Do I or my customer require license to use SystemLink? We are an alliance partner and my customer has enterprise license. Is SystemLink included in the existing program?

Thanks

Senthil

Hello,

For this kind of question, I would recommend calling directly into our sales line at (877)-387-0015 to see what products you are entitled to with your enterprise agreement! I'm sure you'll get an answer very quickly.

Hi Senthilnathan,

SystemLink is not automatically included in EAs at this point, but is available as an add-on to an existing EA. The licenses are tied to the number of nodes in the system and start at 25 nodes. As protocoled mentioned, I would definitely recommend contacting NI Sales for details on pricing and licensing options.

For large collections of controllers will individual runtime licenses will be required to use systemlink?

The SystemLink license is managed on the server, and the pricing is based on the capacity of nodes managed by the server.  An individual client (managed target) is not explicitly licensed.  For a given server, you can connect and disconnect clients as much as you want provided that you don't exceed the node capacity.
