We use a nav x gyro in the custom port and this weekend at comp it was not responding, but everything else was. Once we swapped it out we found that there was metal in the port. Is there a way to repair it ourselves or get a replacement. It is the roborio 2.0. Thanks.

Hi Dawn,
I hope you are doing great.
My name is Esteban from NI Technical Support, could you please let me know the LED status of the device? This will help us understand if there is a short on the roboRIO.
You can try the following two steps for the metal in the port:
Turn the roboRIO upside down and shake it vigorously.
Vacuum out the ports on the roboRIO.
Are you able to see the device in the tool?

Hello,
We did clear out any and all metal from the port and the status lights are fine and do not indicate an issue. The only area seeming to be effected is the custom elec port. At competition the FTA helped us see if the roborio is viewable on the tool and it was but would disconnect here and there while testing. They determined that there was something wrong with it and let us borrow one but now we don’t have our own for the next competition. Thanks.

Hello
Any other options? We are competing super soon and are currently dead in the water. Thanks.

Hi Dawn,
I apologize for the delayed response. I've sent you a direct message to coordinate our next steps.
