Does the i2c still crash the roboRIO?

Last year the REV V3 color sensor was reported to hang up the roboRIO when used in their I2C port. It is still listed as an issue here (https://docs.wpilib.org/en/stable/docs/yearly-overview/known-issues.html) Did anything change over the last year to make this issue go away?

I am not aware of any changes that have not been documented. Please follow the guidance in the known issues page you linked.
