When you mentioned that the device is not powering up, is not showing any blinking on the leds? Could you share a picture of the Roborio?
Also, in some cases, this issue can be caused by a short in the contact. with the device open (removing the screws on the back and the two screws at the port, this will not void the warranty):
- Turn the roboRIO upside down and shake it vigorously.
- Vacuuming out the ports on the roboRIO.
- Check with a flashlight for material making contact in the port pinouts.
