Hello,
We updated our roborio (1) with the wrong image version(we used the 2022 NI Tools). After realizing it, we downloaded the 2023 NI Tools, and tried to reformat our Roborio. It did not work. Every time we try to reformat it, it does not go into safe mode, and at about 20% downloaded, the roborio status light begins to blink indefinitely, indicating unrecoverable error. When we turn the power off and on again, it no longer shows a light until we try to upload anything again. We have tried manually putting it in safe mode with the Reset button, but it just blinks indefinitely (unrecoverable error). We tried to factory reset the rio with a usb (https://knowledge.ni.com/KnowledgeArticleDetails?id=kA03q000000kOHkCAM&l=en-CA), but instead of going to safe mode it just blinks indefinitely (again unrecoverable). We also changed the name of our computer to get rid of the hyphen, but it didn't change anything. We tried a different computer, but got the same result. We noticed that the firmware version on the imaging tool says unknown.
Attached is the error message we receive when we try to upload the 2023 image version.
We are at a loss what to do at this point, as we seem to have exhausted every possibly in the documents we can find.
