We have a Roborio2 from last year that failed on us during last year's competition. We replaced it with an Roborio1 to finish competition. This year we are trying to get it working again. Apparently last year, the issue was with a short on the 5v rail. We've cleaned it out thoroughly and inspected it with a microscope. Looks very clean.
Booting it up, it seemed to boot but the ethernet would not work. We do have a new Roborio2 to use this year, but we'd like to get this working as a backup.
Currently when I hook it up to a power supply, I get no lights. It doesn't seem to power up. I can press reset and nothing happens.
What's next?

Anyone have any ideas?

Hi steveho,
My name is Jessica, I'm with NI. Thank you for posting in the forums and apologies for the delay in our response.
We've encountered similar issues before when the SD card comes unseated. Could you try to take out the SD card, check the slot for any metal debris (perhaps by turning it upside down and shaking it firmly), and then place the card back securely?
If possible, try a different SD card (remove any stickers that may be on it).

I already did that. I took out the sd and put it into another roborio and it works there.
I had a student vacuum out the sd slot and also used compressed air on the whole board.
I had a student look at the whole board under a microscope as well and cleaned out some other small particles (mostly wood and dust).
