roboRIO 2 Dead external 5V

Our team was working on a test board without the 0.1in header pins covered, and in haste changing out a component a stray 12V wire contacted the ground and 5V pins of DIO1 on the DIO port bank (visible soot mark on the gnd pin and weld mark on the 5V pin). Those nearby reported seeing some light smoke and smelling burnt electronics before turning it over to me (mentor), for troubleshooting/salvaging.

I opened up the roboRIO2 and probed around - everything except the externally facing 5V rail appears functional (measuring 0.2v or less when powered on). I was unable to locate the 5V regulator for further troubleshooting/replacement. Does a board schematic exist, or a sub-circuit diagram exist we can use to troubleshoot the externally facing 5V rail?

The external short has been removed and the RIO is otherwise functional (although we use individual encoders powered by the DIO power out so I would prefer to get 5V supplied to these DIO pins again if possible...if not we can run that rail on 3.3 and potentially use it on another robot).

If there is no documentation we can use to repair, what sort of repair services are available?

Will the RoboRIO2 still function fine without the externally facing 5V rail (assuming we power our sensors seperatly).
