Hi everyone.
I transmit a short duration pulse and receive the signal in a loopback setup. It looks like the following image. Can someone help me to understand the received signal? For example, what is the overshoot after 1.2 us resulting from? Why is it stabilize around -300? Why does it sharply back to 0 at 100 us? They are almost the same values no matter how long is my pulse which is a finite and relatively short series of constant samples. I can guess that overshoot is a response to limited bandwidth trying to send a sharp pulse but 1) I do root raised cosine pulse shaping and 2) i don't understand how big it should be and at what time it should happen.
Thank you everyone for your support.
