B200 USB device not recognised after booting

Hi,

I have an issue with my B200 SDR not being recognised as a USB device by Windows 10/11 when it is left connected to a PC that is powered on from shutdown / power loss. The current fix for this is to unplug and replug in the SDR, which fixes the issue by power cycling the device. The SDR is then recognised correctly and has full functionality on the PC.

Error: "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)"
"Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)
A request for the USB device descriptor failed."

This issue was tested across 4 computers, 2 running windows 11 and 2 running windows 10, with the error presenting on all computers. It is present when the device is powered by just the USB or the USB and a 6V supply, with the latter also having to be disconnected to allow the device to work properly.

I wish to use this device remotely and am hence unable to unplug and replug it in. Has anyone else experienced this / are they aware of a fix?

Hi,

I have exactly the same issue, see my post here:

https://forums.ni.com/t5/USRP-Software-Radio/No-UHD-devices-found-after-reboot-Ubuntu-20-04/m-p/4158...

but I use Ubuntu 20.04 on dell precision 3260.

Have you solved your problem since your message?

Thank you

Yannick
