Lastly are you using the original SD card? Some SD cards are not compatible. It may be that the card is not booting properly and entering an invalid state.

Yes, we are using one of the recommended SD cards.

But now we have gotten a new USRP N210 which is working fine.

Which daughter module do you have plugged in to your USRP2?

Another possibility is that you are using a daughter module that isn't supported by the NI USRP driver. With NI-USRP 1.0 driver, we've tested USRP2 configurations with the XCVR-2450 and the WBX module. Other daughter modules from Ettus may work, but we haven't confirmed nor tested the configuration.
