Does enyone know where i can find driver's for NI USPR 2920?

Hi ErikL,

I have already installed new NI USRP 1.1drivers on another PC with GB Ethernet port, and try to connect decide with PC, and that doesn't bring any result.

Still PC couldn't see USRP device.

I think that someone is change IP address and subnet mask, and that is the reason why I can't establish the connection.

I mast reset it to default IP, but I don't know how. inside of the device are two buttons, and one of them is for reset, bud I don't know which one...

Can you tell me which button is for reset, and which is not?

Thanks,

Pixus

Hi Pixus,

You can boot into the safe image by holding down the switch labeled s2 (the one more in the middle of the board). Hold-down the switch while power-cycling the device. Continue to hold-down the button until the front-panel LEDs blink and remain solid. After you do this it should have the default IP address again. You will need to write the NI firmware and FPGA image to the device before you will be able to use it with the NI-USRP driver.

Hi Pixus,

Here is a tutorial for how to write the FGPA and firmware images to the USRP.  Let me know if you have any issues.

Hi Sarah,

thanks a lot, I did it and it works great. I just changed the subnet mask, and USPR utilities finds the device! 🙂

I will be very grateful if you give me some examples how to create some VI for USRP? for example SISO system?

Thanks,

Pixus

Hi Pixus,

The NI-USRP driver ships with a lot of examples that are good starting point for how to do basic transmit and receive.  You can find these example by going to Start » All Programs » National Instruments » NI-USRP » Examples.  You can also find more code that has been posted to the NI community by the NI staff as well as other users by going to www.ni.com/usrp.

These examples should help you get started.  If you have more specific questions, let us know!

Hello Pixus, there are several great examples already installed on your computer that shows how to program the USRP.

You can access these by going to the start menu:

Start Menu » All Programs »  » National Instruments » NI-USRP » Examples » LabVIEW [2009/2010/2011]

Additionally there are programs uploaded by other members in the community located at the NI USRP Example VIs group

Hi attique1987,

The reason that you cannot recognize the USRP2 with the RFX2400 is because that daughterboard is not supported by the NI-USRP driver.  Per the driver readme, these are the daughterboards that are supported:

  • SBX
  • LFTX
  • LFRX
  • BasicTX
  • BasicRX
