I accidentally aborted an image update through an antivirus alert... USRP 2953R

We have 2 NI-USRP 2943R devices here in our lab. Our lab engineer that used to work with these devices is not working here anymore and I'm in charge of getting them to run our .vi files now but when I run them in LabView 2015 it says "The FPGA version is incompatible with this version of host code.

So I opened the Configuration Utility, followed official instructions I found but then Avast acted up. So I accidentally clicked "Abort" on an Avast pop up window that appeared scanning the process that was already running and when I tried updating the image of the same device again I got "Error occurred while writing images to the device". (The fact that the device is in the utility's list with its correct IP should be a good sign, correct?) So now I have this problem in my hands.

Another minor thing. The Configuration Utility updates the second one successfully (or so it says, also I deactivated Avast to do that) but the "UPDATE NEEDED" message still appears for this device even though I power cycled (this means powering the device off and unplugging and plugging it again, correct? Or unplugging/replugging while it is still running??) So if you could help me with that too I'd be even more grateful.

Thank you so much in advance.

I forgot to show the image currently on the devices and the option of new image it shows when I click on one of them.

I have to add that now I have a problem with the other device which the Configuration Utility said it was successfully updated (but still shows "UPDATE NEEDED" in the list).

Now LabView says:

Untitled.png

(Error -1074118627 occurred at niUSRP Open Rx Session.vi

Possible reason(s):

A runtime or configuration error occurred.

Code: 1440

Details: RuntimeError: No revision compat detected. MB EEPROM must be reprogrammed!)

And actually I get this error for both devices...

Hi Fver,

I'm sorry that you're experiencing this! Can you walk me through how exactly you are updating the firmware on your USRP? Screenshots would be helpful as well, just to make sure we're not missing any steps. Typically, this is solved by updating the firmware and power cycling the device (turning it off and back on). Are you able to update the IP address or make any other changes to the device or is it completely locked down?

Thanks,

Sunayna R.
