Increase IQ Rate (USRP 14.0)

Hi,

I am trying to increase the IQ rate of the NI USRP. I am using LabVIEW 2013 to program the NI USRP 2932 and I am using the NI USRP 14.0 driver.

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU 550 @ 3.20 GHz 3.19 GHz

RAM: 8.00GB

Network adapter: Intel(R) 82578DM Gigabit Network Connection

I would like to achieve a 20MHz IQ rate. I have read the following post and have done all of the steps except for adding the registry key:

http://forums.ni.com/t5/USRP-Software-Radio/Increase-the-IQ-Rate-of-USRP-NI-USRP-1-1-Driver/td-p/225...

Is the key necessary for NI USRP 14.0? Are there other potential solutions to this problem? Thank you.

Nicole

Hello Nicole,

Are you using an example code or a code of your own?  Can you upload a simplified version of your LabVIEW code?  More than likely it's probably due to the limitation of your USRP and PC.  And all signs point to registry key modification.  But please understand that this is done at your own risk.  We can not take any responsibility if you were to modify your registry.

Thanks,

Hi Jonathan,

I am using an example code with some minor modifications (just for adding additional indicators and such). The USRP works up until a bandwidth of about 0.5MHz. When you say "it's probably due to the limitation of your USRP and PC", what are some specific limitations that could be responsible given the info I have provided about my machine and the particular USRP model I am using? The USRP I have should be capable of transmitting and receiving with 20MHz bandwidth. I have read on other forums that registry key modification is required for the USRP 1.2 driver and not the USRP 1.1 driver, but I have also found the opposite claim (registry key modification necessary for 1.1 and not 1.2). Can you tell me definitively if the USRP 14.0 needs the registry key modification?

Thank you.

Best,

Nicole
