Installation of USRP 29xx drivers

While installing the USRP drivers (either the 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 14) I am receiving the following error message just as the installation bar appears after confirming which products to download.

"The system cannot find the specified file"

I am running Labview 2014 32-bit. In the options for the USRP drivers I see 'latest version', '2011', '2010', and 2009. I am selecting latest version and receiving the error message. I receive the same message when trying to install the 2011 version.

Is there something simple that I am missing?

Hi Zaputo,

Are you unpacking the .zip file before running setup.exe? And do you have enough space on your hard drive to fully extract it? That error sounds like a problem with the installation files themselves, and since you are seeing it across all of the driver versions I don't think it's a bad package online. If you are unzipping, maybe try redownloading the file?

Hi Peter,

Thanks for taking the time to respond to my issue.

Indeed I am unzipping the files before installing, and I have about ~200GB of free space. I've also tried re-downloading the installers twice now, but still no luck,

I am running LabView 2014 32-bit. Should the 1.1, 1.2, etc, drivers work with this version? Or is it only the USRP driver 14 that is for LabView?

I've also tried re-downloading the driver 14 twice now, still giving the same error.

Very odd, and frustrating.

Happy to hear any further thoughts.

Hey Zaputo,

You will only need version 14.0 of the NI-USRP driver, and I believe this is the only version that will work with LabVIEW 2014.

Sometimes antivirus software and/or firewalls block part of the installer download.  It may be worth attempting to download with antivirus software and the firewall disabled or downloading from another machine (possibly on your home network) and installing from a usb drive.
