Hey,
A company that I am affiliated with purchased an USRP from Ettus, but, strangely enough, the motherboard and the USRP were delivered separately. Can you please tell me whether it is risky that I open the USRP and attach the motherboard by myself, or some special procedure is required? Perhaps opening the device by oneself breaches the waranty or something? Anyway, are there any risks involved if a hardware-untrained person tries to do this?
Thanks!

Hi,
I would suggest you to contact Ettus and ask them, as they are providing support for their USRPs.

Hi filipfilip,
With the Ettus products, the motherboards and the daughterboards ship separately and you will need to install the daughterboard onto the motherboard. Opening the enclosure to the USRP motherboard does not void your , and is expected.
To install your daughterboard, line up mounting holes on the daughterboard with the stand offs on the motherboard. Then, gently apply pressure over the connectors (there should be 2 white connectors on the bottom of the boards, unless you have a Basic or LF) starting at the center and move outward.

Hey!
Thanks for your useful reply, and excuse me for mistaking a daughtherboard for a motherboard:) Unfortunately, my problems are not over. I mounted the daughterboard, but it seems I am missing some cable that is supposed to connect the antena interfaces on teh daughterboard to the two holes on the casing onto which I am supposed to mount my antenna. Please observe the attached photo of my device. I have an Ettus N210 USRP, an SBX daughterboard and a VERT2450 antenna.
Please be so kind to tell me the name and model of the part that I am missing. It is some kind of cable for sure, but perhaps something else as well?
Thanks a lot!

Hi filipfilip,
You are only missing the SMA to bulkhead cables. Here is the link:

Let me know if you have any further questions, I'd be happy to help.
