MC-MXI interface card communication Problem.

Problem Description :
I have installed a MC-MXI interface card into this computer and connected it to the VXI-MXI adaptor card in the VXI chassis. I have been trying to communicate
with the devices in the card cage but with no luck. I do not even get lights flashing. I have been using the VXITEXT.exe and VIC.exe programs that came with
the installation disks. The "Getting started manual" stated that I need a @0DFF.ADF file for the interface card. I am wondering if this is the problem I
am having. Also I am trying to use this Very old version of Labview but thats all I have, and I cannot get it to initialize the device which I guess might
also be because of this .adf file.

Because this product was obsoleted some time ago, the support we can provide will be limited.

However, I was able to dig up some information from the archived folders in our servers that might be useful for you.

Basically, Adapter Description Files (ADF) are plug-ins to MicroChannel BIOS softare that describe the system resources that a card uses. They are used like INF files under Windows. Linked below is the ADF file that you need.

You should also find a copy of this file in the NI-VXI driver for MC-MXI attached below.

Now, in order to have your VXI system working under LabVIEW, you need to configure the system first. Then you can use the NIVXI.dll to communicate with your VME devices.
