If the reason you can't initialize your PCI-MXI-2 is because you can't find vxiinit, the good news is that you probably are initializing your PCI-MXI-2 automatically.
The functionality of vxiinit is now performed automatically by the driver when the system starts. This has actually been true for the last few versions starting several years ago. For a while, we continued to provide a version of vxiinit that didn't actually do anything, for compatibility with installations where legacy code required the existence of vxiinit; if you think something like that would still be useful, please describe your situation so we can consider it as a use case in future versions.
If you are seeing some other error saying that you can't initialize your PCI-MXI-2, please reply
to this answer with further details.
