I noticed (and just replied to) your other question on the forum about vxiinit. If this question is referring to the same system -- a Windows system with NI-VXI 3.3.1 -- the answer is actually similar. For the last few years, VXIedit has been gradually obsoleted, first by T&M Explorer and now by MAX (Measurement & Automation Explorer). Your NI-VXI documentation, available in soft copy on your NI-VXI CD, includes a manual called 'Getting Started With Your PCI-MXI-2 and Windows' which describes the basics of using MAX with NI-VXI.

It just occurred to me that you might not have the NI-VXI CD or printed manual. The manual I am referring to is available at:

http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/321712c.pdf

An abstract and a form to rate the manual is also available:
