Still problem with NI-VXI driver intialization (pci-mxi-2)

Thanks for response to my posting. The device manager can see the vxi->pci-mxi-2 card, under the driver tab, the date is "12-19-2000", for "Driver File Details"--
-NI-PAL Driver.vxd
|_c:\windows\system\NIPALKD.vxd

the first file is not loaded, the 2nd file loaded fine. I think the unloaded file cause the problem, but I don't know how to fix it. Installation order: Removed the card from "system"-> remove the programs (ni-vxi/visa/ni-pal)-> then shutdown and remove the card-> then start to reinstall the driver-> then reboot-> then shutdown to put the card back-> then reboot.

Hi,

My first suggestion would be to try NI-VXI 3.2, which is much more solid than NI-VXI 2.1.1.

Remove the PCI-MXI-2. Remove any MXI-2 entries in the Device Manager. Uninstall NI-VXI. Reboot the computer. Install NI-VXI 3.2. (If you are developing an application you will want to do a custom install to install the development tools). Power down the computer and install the PCI-MXI-2. You should be good to go.
