CRIO 9082 Can't recognize the chassis CAN module "c9862" automatically in veristand.

Hi,

now i am using CRIO 9082 for RT testing (vehicle simulator in hard Real TIme)

but, while developing the platform, chassis CAN module C9862 can not be worked.

(Ni-veristand hardware discovery)

Reading a manual "Getting started FPGA",

I try to make C9862 recognize in veristand.

following these steps...

1. make lab view project not veristand

2. make target and c-module manually.

3. make vi file and try to compile

However, it is needed Xilinx compilation tool to compile,

but, this tool box is supported only under OS 'windows 7..'

( my PC is operated in windows 10)

How can i make C9862 chassis CAN module recognize in veristand..?

Is there a solution?

how can i solve it?

thanks.

you may use custom device to add this card into veristand

Could you give me some guide manual ?
or..

Would you let me know how to set custom device to use that CAN module in CRIO9082 in veristand?

Thanks..

Best Regards.

Hi all,

As of VeriStand 2015 it should not be necessary to use an additional bitfile with the NI 986x XNET modules in most cases.

Do I Need to Compile a Blank Bitfile for NI-XNET in VeriStand?

You only need to use a bitfile if you are using other C series modules in FPGA mode. If you are only using other modules in Scan Mode then you should leave the bitfile path field empty.

The Scan Engine & EtherCAT Custom Device will not provide 986x XNET module functionality though they can be used together.

Are you using VeriStand 2015 or later?

I hope this helps.

Andy, the OP is using a 9082 so I'm afraid he will need a bitfile whatsoever.

You may contact your local support team with information about the module position in the chassis so they can generate a bitfile for you in case you only need a bitfile for CAN operation.
