Set model parameter to inital value

Hello all

I have created a model and I am trying to set a default value for a parameter (optional value in LabView). The field "Default" in the section "Behaviour" is grayed out and I also can't select it in a procedure to initialise on start. Is there another way than setting it through the API, as described here https://forums.ni.com/t5/NI-VeriStand/Set-model-inport-default-value-using-System-Defintion-API/m-p/... ?

I set the default value (make current value default) in LabView before building the model. It seems it cannot be changed afterwards without using the API..
