Veristand 2015 crashing intermitently with error code "Exception: Access Violation (0xC0000005) at EIP=0x309E4ECF

Veristand 2015 keeps on crashing and attaching the details. We are using NI teststand, Veristand step types to execute the test cases.

Hi Rajesh,

I can't open the attached crash dump after downloading it - could you try uploading it again?  Also, will the VeriStand project deploy without errors independent of the the TestStand automation steps?  Also, 'how intermittently' is the crash happening and does it happen directly on deployment or is it after a few minutes of test execution? 

The error you're running is a fairly generic exception, so we'll have to dig into what exactly the project is doing upon the crash.  The crash dump will help us with this.

Thanks for the reply. This crash happens only during the deployment and in our teststand sequence we are opening and deploying veristand project many times. Crash happening randomly, sometime the sequence execution work good for hours and crashs on one veristand deployment. We have few same HiL system and this issue is seen only in one particular test system.

Hi Rajesh,

Since the error seems to manifest itself on one test system and is so intermittent, we should examine the differences between the test systems.  Are the host computers running the TestStand sequences identical in-terms of specifications?  Are the two systems exposed to different environmental noise due to being close to sources of EMF?  

I'll try to track down someone with the correct tools installed to look at the .DMP file since I don't have them.

Lastly, to quantify the impact here, roughly how frequently does this happen as a percentage of test runs?  Does it happen at some point during every test run or does it happen sporadically between test runs?
