I want to update the NI-XNET CAN database in my Veristand project for a more recent version. However, it does not appear that there is any way to do this in-place. There are two options I can see, but neither work for me. I can delete the DB and add a new one. However, this will delete the CAN channels and periodic sending that I have set up for this. I then would need to go and manually re-add these. Or, I can replace the file. However, the file has the version in the name, and as the project is using the file/alias Veristand will not allow editing it.
Is there a way to change the XNET database in-place, without destroying other parts of the project?

Replace the file, then in the System Explorer select Refresh Databases. Alternatively, select Launch XNET Database Editor to edit your file there.
