Today I explored Color Pattern Matching using NI Vision Assistant with circular samples of different sizes and colors acquired through Vision Acquisition.
In this exercise, I used only the Color Pattern Matching function without using Color Plane Extraction. The system successfully identified:
- 3 red color pattern matches
- 2 pink color pattern matches
I also observed that some samples with similar colors but different dimensions were rejected because they did not satisfy the pattern matching conditions and minimum matching score requirement.
The experiment helped me understand the importance of parameters such as:
- Threshold
- Saturation
- Color Weight
- Minimum Matching Score (used: 800)
This was a good hands-on exercise for learning color-based object identification and inspection in machine vision applications using LabVIEW and NI Vision Assistant.
