Which card to be purchased

Solved!
Go to solution

At present , in a machine i am using ADDI-DATA PA 1500 digital I/O Card.

I am thinking of changing it into a NI card.

I searched for it in the NI site but could not get a similar one.

Required card: Digital I/O board, optically isolated, 32 digital I/O, 24 V

All the cards in NI are 5V / TTL.

Can you suggest me an NI card or from some others manufacturer.

Condition is that, Labview drivers should be available for the same.

I am attaching the datasheet of the ADDI-DATA card.

Hi Grugh,

Thanks for posting on the forums.  If I understand your requirements correctly, I think most of the NI boards will work equivalently.  For instance, the PCI-6518 has the same number of inputs and outputs (16 each).  On your ADDI-DATA PA 1500 device, you can supply the digital outputs with between 10v and 36v, which includes your 24v spec.  On the 6518 user manual on Figs. 4-4 and 4-8, you can see how to connect voltages in the range of 0v to 30v for input, and 5v to 30v for output.  Also, under "Sensing DC Voltages" on p. 4-2, you can read how the logic levels are determined (0...4v = low, 11v...30v = high).

Hope this helps,

Andrew
