NI 9144 with 9862 module

Hello,

I'm currently working on a NI9144 chassis with a CAN 9862 module.

I wondered if it's really necessary to use an additional power supply for the 9862 module (as indicate in the datasheet) considering i'm using it with the 9144 chassis ? Is it possible to use the module juste with the chassis ?

The 9862 requires bus power to provide power to the transceiver. There is no way for it to get it directly from the backplane.
