So... Mukund, how old (young) are you?
I hope you are NOT a child-labour of LV. ![]()
Below thirty you are not a child.

So, when are you getting retirement from the field?
Or have you planned for one at least...
Please forgive me if this offends you as per US culture.
As per Indian culture, early retirement is the fashion nowadays.
That is such a good question I ask my wife regularly the same thing. Prior to the market crashing last year, I was starting a retirement count-down from seven years. Although we did get out of the market just before the crash, financial questions are so up-in-the-air that my wife and I have decided to stay in "nose to the grindstone" mode because we see signs that the US is going to be experiencing a period of hyper-infation that will effectively render all of our savings worthless. So...
The date of my retirement will be determined by the magnitude of the US deficit. If it grows, I may never retire. If they get it under control, maybe.
But even if I do retire, I have asked the wife to budget for a LV license, so I can still code and post after I retire.

Frankly speaking Ben, this was the exact thing I wanted to ask you directly, which I think I asked you subtly. ![]()
Instead of troubling your wife, you should ask NI to give you a life-time free license for all their future versions. ![]()

Have you been reading my email?
I have been asking NI to provide a Life-Time User License to all of the LabVIEW Champions since about March of 2005.
The LabVIEW Champions Keepers have alway agreed but none of them have ever been succesful in getting it settled. It seems there is trouble trying to put a $value on what the Champions and the Zealots do for LV and the LV community. At one time, years ago, Chily Charlie tried to organize a "strike" by the gold bar contributors so that our presense could be felt ( or the lack there of). I think it lasted about a day and Dennis' post count doulbed* that day. ![]()

Won't be India for know, but I will go to S'pore in a week and Little India will be close to my workplace.
So any must-see's there? Festivals? Food recommendations?

Little India is a nice place to be in. I was staying just opposite to Mustafa shopping center (I forgot the hotel name, some 85/90 Sing$ per day stay back in 2006).
Make a visit to the Sentosa Island, a must-visit place (I badly missed due to my work).
Sunday evening, you take a walk down after Mustafa, you ll easily see all shops getting ready for an Indian masala type os sales-spree. It ll be a 6- lane road normally, by Sun 4PM, it ll become 4, by 5-6 PM it ll almost become only 2 lanes, with the sight of S'poreans honking a lil bit due to irritation/annoyance due to this jolly behaviour of people.
You can get/eat Madurai meal & Mumbai meal in the same hotel (I forgot its name). There are a few quite good restaurents (Komalas, Saravana Bhavan & some Chettinad restaurent), all near to Mustafa, that give you a good taste of real, authentic & spicy South Indian food.
