My buddy was grumbling at half-time about he did not want to see a blow-out.... Latter I turned to him and said "This is what you wanted Bill!" (My neighbor Bill that is).
Ray's last Game.
Raven's win.
Longest kick-off return in SB history.
Longest Game in SB history.
You should be a happy man today Bill!
Congrats to you and yours and thank you for keeping it in the division.

I think the announcers also said when the 49's QB scored that it was the longest touchdown carry of a SB QB as well. Vinnie (the guy that killed the power) was saying that the bookies weren't happy, that's why they had the power whacked.

Very symbolic 30 minutes of "powerlessness" for the entire world to see. If we can't keep the power on for the Super Bowl ... sheesh ...
I expect no repercussions. It's New Orleans ("it's George W. Bush's fault!") and the real dolt repsonsible will become NO's next mayor.

I am very happy. It was a wild end of the season to get there. Especially that last minute tie it up touchdown in Denver to win it in double overtime. I was at the game Sunday, so the win felt especially sweet. My seats were kind of high up, but that gave me a good overall view of the field when Jacoby Jones started his runback at the start of the 2nd half. I could see the openings up the middle and was yelling "hit the middle!". Then when he proceeded that way, the blocking held the gap long enough that he could get through cleanly, then to just outrun everyone. I just couldn't believe it.
I don't know if you heard, but a furniture store in Baltimore held a promotion where anyone who bought furniture this weekend would get it for free if a Ravens player ran back a touchdown during the kickoff of either half. They wound up giving away $600,000 worth of furniture because of the promotion.
The blackout definitely hurt the Ravens more than the 49'ers. Watching everyone on the field, I thought the Ravens players were more relaxed and handling it better than the 49'ers. But has it turned out, we lost our momentum, and the 9'ers gained it. They had been moving the wall pretty well in the 2nd quarter, but were failing to convert with the fumble, interception, and a couple field goals. After the blackout, they were moving the ball well and getting some breaks that led to touchdown's to tighten the game up.
It's a shame the blackout occurred and is kind of giving New Orleans a black eye. It was amazing to see how many people were there, how many different events were going on, how much police were present to take care of everything. The downtown area was super busy, but yet I never saw any problems.
The Ravens fan turnout was huge. Walking around the city, I saw more Saints fans than 49ers fans. They were so vocal, you'd thing the Ravens were playing the Saints instead.
Awesome weekend.

Congrats, RF, on your teams victory. As a native of Massachusetts, I was obviously rooting for a different team during the AFC Championship game. And I was rooting for SF on Sunday for no other reason other than to root against Preacher Ray.
What was most amazing to me on Sunday is that Pollard played an entire 60 minute football game without injuring anybody!
There's a furniture store in Boston who lost out on a similar "wager" with its customers in October 2004 and October 2007. Don't know if they did anything for the three Superbowl wins, one NBA Championship, and one Stanley Cup that the local teams have won in the recent years. Why do they say Green Bay is TitleTown again? ![]()
