Start of the winter harescramble enduro races!  First race yesterday.

Track was in real good shape considering the flooding.  Couple of mucky spots but the crew did a good job prepping for the race.

Went karting last weekend with a friend.  These ran 4 stroke Honda engines, not the shifters, but still capable of 100-120kph (that's north of 60mph).  The track we went to was quite challenging due to many sharp bends.  I don't know if anyone took photos.  You do feel the G-force going around a tight bend (90deg) at full speed!  But there are worse corners which is almost "S" shaped..  Can't go full speed there..

They had an enduro race yesterday.  I did not participate.  30 - 60 minutes of being tossed around was plenty.  😄

My stag weekend included go karting, the morning after a very heavy evening. A close-fitting helmet, twists and turns and exhaust fumes within a converted warehouse raceway meant that I was feeling less than perky after the night before. But it was excellent fun, especially trying to get the right lines through corners. My favourite was a long right hander which tightens up along its length. You went in full speed, hugging the left hand wall, then it was a guess as to where to brake in order to make the tight hairpin right at the end of the corner.

I am most definitely not cut out to be a racing driver!

Contrary to many movies, they don't go out partying before the race! Well most don't.

Fortunately the track was outdoors.  I've been at indoor tracks with slower karts (80kph / 50 mph).  No matter the fans they use, there's still a lot of fume smells.  Glad we didn't have a heavy lunch either...

Fast Kart + fumes + too much food =   BARF!

Were it in Sichuan Province, China, you might be able to order kung paw.

Are the dishes served with collar(d) greens? Could be ruff on the digestive system.

The fact that some cultures find our eating of Beef to be very wrong makes this kind of joke very regional.

There are a whole host of animals which may or may not be acceptable to eat depending on where you are (And I don't count Vegetarians because that's NOT the same thing).

Pork

Beef

Dogs (Is there a word for dogmeat?)

Snake

Insects

Snails

Horse

etc...

So people eat dogmeat.  What's the fuss about exactly?
