Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald - Gordon Lightfoot
As an ex-resident of Duluth, any reference direct or indirect to Lake Superior gets my attention. I beilve the Edmund Fitzgerald went down in Superior. Did I get that wrong? If I did I can stop being distratcted. Please feel free to mention why you chose tht signature. I'll explain mine... Marketing, advertising, bragging, and ranting... did I miss anything?
After I retire I'll update it to reflect what I really think.

You got it right. The Edmund Fiztgerald went down on November 10, 1975 in Lake Superior. As for my use of it in my quote as a hobby I race sailboats. I race out on Lake Michigan and over the years have sailed through virtually every type of weather you can imagine. I have even sailed through hurricane force winds during Mac races. Anyway, when you are out there in the middle of the lake being pounded by waves with the wind howling around you times seems to slow down. I always felt this line from the song summed that feeling up fairly accurately. Here is a picture of the boat I race on during some of that weather.

Ben and Mark, you might like this:
The story it tells is fictional, but is based on that song (and it's a good song from a good show).

Ray.R,
Maybe just flash light in one eye socket?
elset191,

Don't know how I got here- Interesting read
Of course we all know who is "behind the 8-ball." I had started with the standard icon but found that it was being used by too many others. Grabbed a uniquie icon that was similar and spun. Altenbach assisted with the animation and the twinkle. Makes it easy to identify. I may need to change it someday![]()

<<< Kinda silly but it looks too cool with the new rectangle-ability. Honestly, I'm, not one of "those" kind of fans, although my wife would disagree. 😉 If anyone doesn't know... Rush

<------------ If you have to take the time to ask why I chose my icon because you can't figure it out, you are probably one of these things
1. The person that thinks express VIs are "programming"
2. The person that posts in the wrong thread asking a completely unrelated question
3. The person that addresses a specific forum member when asking a question
4. The person that posts once on these forums then leaves
5. The person that replies to a 5+ year old post (maybe I'm sometimes guilty of this
)
6. Less than the age of 5
7. Don't do a forum search first
Notice all these things relate to blindly chugging ahead without giving yourself a second to process any of the information at hand
