LabView 5.0 and PCI-6601 CTR/TIM - Is it compatible?

Hi!
It is the first time I work with DAQ-Hardware, and I dont know how to start. I want to make a program with LabView 5.0 and the PCI6601 counters, but nothing works?! Is it possible to configure all features of the 6601 with the LabView (graphical) or do i need C/C++ Code, integrated in the graphic-language?
In the NiDAQ help, I found a a lot of functions for the counter, but they are all C/C++-programmable.
The counter vi's/APIs in the Labview, dont offer so much configuration-possibilities.
The card is working, checked by the measurement&automation-explorer. Perhaps I need an upgrade to a newer LABView-Version?
I would need some help, to get started!!
Thank you,
Markus

Yes you can use the 6601 with LabVIEW 5.0. Have you tried searching the examples under the 'Help' menu?

If you don't find anything there, you may have installed NI-DAQ without support for LV 5.0. You should be able to fix that with a reinstall of NI-DAQ, making sure that LV 5.0 support is checked.

Hope this helps.

ALERT! LabVIEW's subscription-only policy came to an end (finally!). Unfortunately, pricing favors the captured and committed over new adopters -- so tread carefully.
