Setting up experiment correctly

I am trying to set up my 1st experiment.  I would like to display data in list format, digital format and write it to file continually until I stop the experiment.  It seems to work okay but then just stops collecting data after a while.

Mike,

It's really hard to answer your question without knowing anything about your setup.

It would help to know:
    DASYLab Version
    Operating System
DAQ Hardware - what are you collecting from?
    Experiment TimeBase settings
    Worksheet configuration

And... is power management on your computer completely disabled? It should be for DAQ applications.

After I hit submit I realized I didn't add any information.  I am running Dailylab 8 using a Data Shuttle Input Board with module 10180.  It is running on Windows XP SP1.  I don't know about power settings, I havn't checked yet.  I am connected to Ovens and Freezers for temperature.  My programs has 7 inputs going to a list display, then to a digital display then to write file.  The users like the two different type displays but want to keep data for later analysis in one file per run of testing.

The DataShuttle is hard to diagnose. I suspect that it's the power management settings for the computer. Try disabling all power management, starting in the BIOS, but also in the Windows Control Panel.

If this does not resolve it... post the worksheet, or email it directly to support@dasylab.net.
