I can't seem to get 2011 to display the various ChnAttr variables in the data portal.
Our scripts use the ChnAttrInt and ChnAttrTxt variables, and I need to see them. Any idea how to do this?

Hi jbrandim,
You can switch to the old behaviour via the following menue point:
Settings->Options->General->Compatibility
then uncheck the box "Hide register properties".
But i suggest to use your own custom properties in future applications.

Hello Jeff,
The variables are still around, but since most people don't use them we have hidden them in the DataPortal though a configuration switch:
Please make the following changes to your configuration file via the "Settings - Options - General" menu:
Enter the "Compatibility" settings menu:
Change the "Hide register variables" setting by unchecking the box:
Confirm everything with OK and make sure to save the new configuration settings to make these changes permanent.
That should do it.
Let us know if you have any additional questions,
Otmar

Thanks, Hans and Otmar. It's all set now.
I can't go to custom properties just yet. This application processes data from a legacy device that produces the old .DAT file format, so I'll to work with that for a while.
