Nope, the structure tab in the Data Portal has no sorting features-- that's what the List tab is for. You can drag channels from the List tab onto VIEW or REPORT Graphs or onto ANALYSIS configuration dialogs.
Note that there are some keyboard shortcuts that help in the structure tab, though. If you highlight one of the Groups or Channels in the Data Portal, then hit the "Home" button on your keyboard, you will be taken to the Root of the Data Portal. If you then hit the "/" button on your number pad (has to be the number pad), all Groups will close to hide their Channels. If you hit the "*" button on the number pad the Groups will open again. You can do the same thing with a particular Group to open and close only its Channels. The "Page Up" and Page Down" buttons will accelerate your scrolling through the Data Portal, and all 4 arrow buttons help navigate the Data Portal-- the "Left" and "Right" arrow buttons also close and open the highlighted Group or Root
