LPD layouts?

How do I create my own DIAdem layout (.LPD) to which I would be able to save my data to. My thinking is to create a report and save it as a .LPD but that doesn't work.

Hi Zilla,

A *.LPD file is used to store the report template information of a report you have created in DIAdem GRAPH (version 8.1 and before). The information included in this file contains things like the positions and sizes of axis systems, tables, texts, logos, etc. It also included references to the channels (or data columns) that you used to make the report as well as variables that may be used in the report.

An *.LPD file does NOT include any graphical information (like for instance a BMP or WMF file). It is simply a template that, in conjunction with a data file, can display a report on the screen.

Basically, a *.LPD file is a text description of the objects you have put on your screen. Things like colors, coordinates, line widths etc. are stored in t
he LPD (which you can look at with any text editor, such as Windows Notepad). It does not contain any graphical information at all.

Please use the "File > Export" menu to export graphics files from DIAdem.

Let me know if you have any additional questions.

Ok I made it over this issue. *.LPD is the default file extension used in the NI LabVIEW DIAdem Connectivity VI's (Ver 2.2), however *.LPD is the format used on the older versions of DIAdem (8.1 and before). *.TDR is what is used in the later versions of DIAdem. So when useing lastest NI LabView DIAdem Connectivity VI's and the latest version of DIAdem you have to select "all files" and then browse to the *.TDR layout you want to use. I assumed that the default Connectivity extension would be the same as the current DIAdem layout extension.
