Hi!
I've just noticed, that in the Data Portal of DIAdem all default properties are ordered as they are specified in the documentation. But when adding new custom properties to the root or anywhere else, these properties are ordered alphabetical. Is there a way to let the custom properties appear in the same order as they were added?
Thanks,
Martin

Hi Martin,
No, in DIAdem 2012 and prior versions there is no mechanism to influence the order that properties are displayed in the Data Portal. This is also not a current area of focus for upcoming versions, mostly because no one has asked for it until now. Please feel free to copy your request to the www.ni.com/diademideas site for R&D to consider and other users to add Likes to.

Hi Brad,
thank you for your quick reply. Too bad to hear, this isn't supported. For us, this feature would be very important because we've planned to add about 200 properties from our own data format into the dataportal for each file. So it would be great to have these properties ordered, as they are in our documentation of the file format. I will add this request to the site you've proposed.
Best
Martin

Brad,
independent on creating of new properties, there are some more already existing (like "RegisterInt1"...).
Is there a way to show these in the DataPortal?

HI Dia,
The last DIAdem version to automatically display the channel register properties in the Data Portal was DIAdem 2010. You can enable that DIAdem 2010 display mode by clicking on the "Compatibility" button in the General Settings dialog. Note that data files saved by modern DIAdem versions do not necessarily create those register properties. They were really a holdover from the old DIAdem 8.x era *.dat file format.
