How can I remove the deviation bars for my measurement data out of the legend. If I add x and y deviations to my data I also get a deviation cross in the legend above the signs (Square, circle etc.).

Hello,
try this:
double click on diagramm; -> in first window -> settings of legend,
then you can click on or of of each channal.
In other case, can you post an small example or picture, sothat I exacle know what do you mean.
Best wishes,
Tatjana

Hi Tatjana,
My problem is not the channel itsself which I can switch on and off for showing in the legend as you explained but the deviation bars. When I add deviation bars to my channels these deviation bars are showed in the legend as well. That is useless and I want to remove these deviation bars from my legend. For explanation I added a diagramm with the values and the legend in the left top corner where the deviation bars are included.

So you want just swich of channels in your legend (in the left corner)? right?
double click on diagramm; -> in first window -> settings of legend,
then you can click on or of of each channal.

No it is only about the deviation bars in the legend. I want the ("square" Gas CSNB) in the legend but without the tow deviation bars in it. There is no sense for the deviation bars in the legend!

The cross in legend and diagram depens together.
So you can switch in both on or off.
Go to the dots in your diagramm -> double click on it -> you will come to curve-parameter -> labeling -> text parameter
There you can put the cross on or off.
Kind regards

First off all, I can't follow your given path "Go to the dots in your diagramm -> double click on it -> you will come to curve-parameter -> labeling -> text parameter" - that leads me to no text parameters but I know where I can switch the deviation bars on and off in the diagramm.
Second, that the " cross in legend and diagram depens together.
So you can switch in both on or off." is for my opinion a bug or a failure in the programm. The deviation bars are for all channels the same and it does not make sense to show them in the legend on each channel sign.
Additionally, I am curious if you understood my problem right. I do not want to switch the deviation bars of at my measurement points (I intendedly added them) but I do not want the deviation cross on each entry of my legend!
I get more and more dissapointed about the abilities of NI Diadem.

Hello Les,
The legend is designed to show the curve the way it's displayed in the diagram. If it has error bars, it will have error bars in the legend. That's a design feature of DIAdem and neither a bug nor a failure in the program. I have included an example that shows how this makes perfect sense below:
Now, I realize that doesn't solve your issue, so here is a work around for your specific situation. Here are the steps:
1. For each curve you wish to put into the legend, create a copy in the "Curve and Axis Definition" dialog using the "Copy Entry" button as shown in the red bubble in the picture below. Repeat for each curve that needs to be in the legend.
2. Click on the "Type" icon in the curve list for each curve you wish to add to the legend and turn OFF the error bars.
3. When you have done that for each copy of each curve you want to add to the legend, click on the "Settings ..." dialog next to the Legend entry and follow the steps shown in the screenshot of the
Legend settings:
1. Switch to the "Labels" tab.
2.Turn off the channels that contain the error bars and only leave the ones that have no error bars checked.

I hope this helps answer your question ..

First of all thanks a lot for the impressive and very detaild answer. I am impressed about this good service. That workaround will solve my problem. Until now I hoped for an more easy way.
But mybe a little tick for "show deviation bars in legend - on/off" would be a programm improvment for the future.
Thank you.
