diadem is not working

Hello. Please help me. Few days ago I  worked with diadem. It work slow so I tried  to install  diadem LabVIEW DIAdem Connectivity VIs 3.0.2.exe. But it works only with old versions. Еhereafter  I tried to install newest version 2012 sp1. Now it is not working. Try to copy vbs files but it does not helps.

Hi,

I have a few questions for you to get a better idea of what is going on here:

1) When you say that DIAdem was really slow, what were you doing in DIAdem when this slowdown occurred?  Did you experience a crash of DIAdem?  Often times if you are loading or indexing especially large amounts of data, this can take DIAdem some time.

2) Could you share some more information about what problems you are running into in LabVIEW using the code above?  It should pull up a Report page in DIAdem and graph the simulated sine wave you are passing into it.

Hi, thanks for your reply. It worked very slow with few simultaneous graphs.Diadem  work without crash. I show the example of Diadem report for this vi and graphs was empty.  I did repair but this did not help.

Hi,

I see the image of the empty graphs you posted above.  Where is this image from?  Is it in a PDF or actually in DIAdem?

If you are trying to write to a PDF or some other target, make sure that you have the target settings specified correctly in the DIAdem Report VI:

I ried to find the files named diadem* but nothing has helped. The graph wasn't shown even in Diadem Configure.

Hi,

Which files are you looking for?  Are you looking for the PDF report?  This should automatically pop-up at the end of execution since you have "View report immediately" enabled.  Are you not seeing this report?

If you are seeing the report, but it just contains empty graphs, let's check to make sure you are actually graphing something.  Can you place a graph indicator to display the output of the Simulate Signal VI?

pdf report is empty. I think the problem with data exchange  of diadem. Any  ideas how to reinstall correctly diadem?

I have installed DIAdem many times, and the most common mistake is to not make sure to run the installer as  "run as Administrator"

When this is not done, the PDF output function will not operate in DIAdem.   Best way to know if this is an issue is to open DIAdem. Select the Report tab on left, and then click on the PDF output at the top.   

If this works then setup should be good to make a PDF.

I ran your simple example and it worked fine for me.  (DIAdem 2012)   LabVIEW 2013  Windows 7 64.

I try install diadem as Admin but it did not help. I noticed a strange thing. Each time I run any Vi with one or few signals in diadem are formed DataExchange with Noname-Noname_4.  That is Diadem does not see the data from the VI. Any ideas how to reset Data exchange path ? I try load config Desktop but without result.

Hello again

I made some changes to set the execution parameters better.

Attached is the vi.  Also started up DIAdem 2012 prior to running this vi. (as had turn off auto exit ) Found out where LV puts the TDM/TDX file.

It is at  C:\Users\pesmith8a\AppData\Local\Temp\

LV makes the TDM/TDX file and then opens DIAdem/loads them into Data portal then processes them into report that is default or that is chosen.

Also found that the Channel names are kind of random, but did not get the ones you got.  (Also attached the tdm/tdx files.
