.sie file will not open in DIAdem. xml error

Hello,

I am trying to view a .sie file in DIAdem but I keep getting an error. The error message is a -4104, error reading the xml data. I can open some .sie files in DIAdem but most of them give this error. Does anyone know why thing is happening?

Hello Erik,

Do you have the latest version of the SIE DataPlugin?

The DataPlugin was just updated on October 23, 2013 and can be found here:

http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/6616

Please test with the latest version and report back if you're still having issues.

I am using the latest DataPlugin. Some of my files will open but others will not. I thought maybe it was having problems with the video or CAN files. However, some CAN files will open and I took the video out of the files and it still will not open.

I just yesterday submitted to R&D an *.sie data file from General Dynamics that had the same load error-- could that be you?  If not, please submit the offending data file(s)-- that will ensure that the updates to the DataPlugin will make your files load as well as the one from yesterday.  If you prefer, you can email me the file(s) directly at:

The SoMat_SIE DataPlugin has been updated to avoid this XML error, and the new version will be posted to the DataPlugin web site shortly.
