9403 Set up And Program

Hello All, I am a newbie and I am trying to actuate a solenoid pinch valve using the 9403. The product is from Acro and I am using their 900R controller. I was recomended this device from NI staff. I am unsure of the whole set up. I have the following set up that I have attached in the photo.

Right now I have the White wire connected to Pin 1 and the Red comming from the power supply wired to Pin 9. Which is the COM. I was trying to test the panel in MAX and there was no break in the circuit. So the solenoid was always active. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Hi Jon,

From your schematic, it seems like you are trying to switch 3 A with a 9403.  This is not going to be possible.  The 9403 is a TTL digital I/O module.  You might check the controller specifications and wiring of your controller board.  It appears that the 9403 should be hooked up to the trigger lines.  If this is the case, you might not need to switch the full current of the solenoid with the 9403. It appears that the white line and the white/black line should be a digital output and a common line respectively.
