Hello Anthony,
Because tristate is a property of the hardware and not software, the best place to check for support for this property is in the DAQPad-6507 User Manual. It is not listed in the specifications section, so the device does not support it. If you need a simple digital I/O USB device the supports tristate, I recommend looking at the USB-6501.

So the tristate property is not specifically listed in the specifications documents for our devices, as I thought it was. You can see from this tutorial that the DAQPad-6507 does not support tristate (high impedance). It does have a state that is neither pulled-up or pulled-down that is configurable by setting a switch, but it is not high impedance.
The USB-6501 does support tristate, and this post describes how you set this in software.
