Sampling rate - USB NI 6259

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello.

I have problem with maximum sampling rate on USB - NI 6259. I measure EKG from rabbits hearts and I need know, what maximum frequency can I sample this signal. I use 10 channels and I dont know if maximum sampling rate is for each channel or only one.  I know, that I use sampling rate 1 MS/s, but I dont know if MS/s means MHz. I need know sampling rate (frequency) in Hz. I know that USB - NI 6259 has maximum sampling rate 1MS/s and 16 bits resolution. This means 2MB/s but this is for each channel but only one? Can I sample my signal with theoretician sampling rate 1 MHz?

Thak you very much for your answers.

Since you only have a single convert clock and the channels are muxed, your sampling rate per channel is the max rate divided by the number of channels. In your case, you would be sampling each at 100kS/sec.
